Installation

From WordPress.org (Recommended)

In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New.
Search for "eCommerce AI".
Click Install Now, then Activate.

Manual Installation

Download the latest release from WordPress.org.
In your dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Select the downloaded .zip file and click Install Now.
Activate the plugin.

Requirements

WordPress 6.0 or later
PHP 8.0 or later (8.3 recommended)
WooCommerce 8.0 or later
An OpenAI or DeepSeek API key

Initial Configuration

After activation, you'll be guided through a short onboarding wizard:

API Key Setup: Enter your LLM provider API key and select your preferred model.
First Optimization: Select a product and run your first AI optimization to see the results.
Pro Upgrade: Optionally activate a Pro license key for advanced features.

First Product Enhancement

eCommerce AI helps you turn raw product details into copy that is easier to scan, easier to understand, and more likely to convert.

Step 1: Open a WooCommerce Product

Navigate to Products → All Products and edit any product. You'll see the eCommerce AI meta box in the sidebar.

Step 2: Click "Optimise"

The plugin sends your product details to the eCommerce AI service and generates a set of suggestions you can review before applying:

A stronger title: Clearer, more search-friendly wording that still reads naturally to shoppers.
A better description: A structured, skimmable product description that highlights benefits and answers common buyer questions.
Highlights you can reuse: Benefit-led bullets and supporting details you can copy into your page, emails, or ads.

Step 3: Review and Apply

Review the generated content in the meta box. You can:

Apply the optimised title directly to the product title field.
Apply the optimised description to the product description.
Copy individual sections (highlights, FAQ, specs) for manual placement.
Regenerate if you want a different variation.

AI Visibility Files

Pro Feature

AI Visibility tools help AI assistants and crawlers understand your store so your products, categories, and policies are represented more accurately in AI-driven discovery.

Overwrite vs. Merge

By default, generated assets are merged with existing content where possible. You can enable overwrite if you prefer to replace an existing file entirely.

Add product details like price, availability, and ratings so your listings can stand out in search results.

SEO Plugin Compatibility

eCommerce AI detects Yoast SEO and Rank Math. When either is active, the plugin automatically defers schema output to avoid duplicate markup conflicts.

Pro License Activation

Purchase a Pro license from the Pricing page.
You'll receive a license key via email.
In your WordPress dashboard, go to eCommerce AI → License.
Paste your license key and click Activate.
Pro features are unlocked immediately.

Managing Your License

You can deactivate your license from one site and activate it on another.
License status is cached for 24 hours. Click "Check License" to force a re-validation.
If your license expires, Pro features are disabled but all generated content remains.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need my own OpenAI API key?

Yes. The free plan uses your own API key so you control costs and model selection. Pro users can optionally use our managed key for zero-config setup.

Which AI models are supported?

Any model available through the OpenAI-compatible API, including GPT-4o, GPT-4o-mini, and DeepSeek. Pro unlocks additional model options.

Will this slow down my site?

No. All AI processing happens in the admin panel or via a background API call. No front-end JavaScript or additional HTTP requests are added to your store pages.

Can I use this with any WooCommerce theme?

Yes. eCommerce AI works with any properly coded WooCommerce theme. It uses standard WordPress hooks and WooCommerce data structures.

What happens if I downgrade from Pro to Free?

All content you've generated remains in place. You simply lose access to Pro features like AI Visibility file generation, bulk processing, and advanced structured data.

Is my data sent to third parties?

Product data is sent to the LLM provider you configure (OpenAI or DeepSeek) for processing, then discarded. We never store your product data on our servers beyond the duration of the API call.
